How to Increase Engagement on your Social Media

The key to becoming a successful social media user is in the engagement.

     1. Know how often to post
When it comes to posting on social media, you want to provide your followers with content they will both enjoy and interact with. To make sure you get the best response, you have to make sure your posting schedule is pretty much, perfect! ...okay that was an exaggeration, but I mean it as literally as possible. So you’re probably wondering what a perfect schedule is? According to studies, 1-2 posts a day is the best amount, easy right! Along with amount comes time; at what time should I post? On my social media, I have found that I receive most of my engagement during the hours of 5-8 pm EST (the sweet spot is 7 pm) which is 2-5 PST. No matter which time zone you’re in, after I’ve asked my other followers, many post around the time of 7 pm in their time zone.

     2. Make your social media posts matter
When it comes to getting engagement on your posts you must keep clear to your followers the purpose of your page. Are you a blogger, influencer, promoter, model, etc.? Make sure you keep your page clear, creative, and consistent to your image which from this will in turn attract people who may be drawn to your style.
*In addition to this heading, the best way to keep engagement and your image clear, engage with other peoples accounts often. Like and Comment on your followers pictures especially when they do it for you!! This will definitely show you’re kind and draw more people to look forward to your next posts.*

     3. Partner/Buddy up with others on social media
Sometimes bringing your account up to a high level can seem difficult and almost as if you’re alone at times. Reaching out to others on social media can benefit both of you in the long run and this is how; you can share hashtags, review each other’s posts for approval before setting it to public, ask for guidance and tips, and become Tag-Buddies!!! *For tag-buddies you tag each other in all of your post so when your followers decide to be curious, they’ll check out their page and vice-versa from their page* The best way to keep connected with other accounts is to start things such as engagement groups. You can do this with apps such as Band, Telegram, Group Me, etc.

     4. Final Bonus Tip
Realize that no matter what, your Instagram is unique to YOU and at the end of the day it is your journey - that is never over. Just following these few tips you can see results begin to happen within hours of practicing them! ... And if you don’t, give it a day or two :)
